The Joy School prepares students with learning differences to return to traditional classroom settings by enabling them to reach their social and academic potential in a safe, supportive environment.
At The Joy School, we understand that all children need to feel successful before being asked to face challenging tasks. Therefore, we meet a child at his or her level and work systematically to move them forward from that point. The Joy School accomplishes this by providing a unique, nurturing environment in which teachers and administrators work as a team for the benefit of all students.
Who we serve
Children in K-8th grade who have learning differences including Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, Expressive/Receptive Language Disorders, Spatial and Motor Skills Issues, and Social (Pragmatic) Communication Disorder.
Students who don’t currently attend The Joy School may take advantage of our Private Tutoring, Speech and Language Services, and Summer Programs. In addition, we offer Diagnostic Testing.
Teachers and other educational professionals may email our Admissions Team to inquire about professional tours offered twice a year. In addition, our annual Educator Seminar is offered at no cost to educational professionals in the Houston area.
